So, I just came across !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , which was absolutely incredible in itself. But it reminded me of an arcade game I used to play back in high school called Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune. I believe it was loosely based on this story. I played this game religiously and had some of the fastest times at our local arcade. The arcade closed down about 5 years ago and I haven't ever found another machine. Does anybody know if this game is still around in the US? I still have my cards from it and the Initial D arcade game...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-PS3-Wa… Here's a region-free copy of the PS3 game. I don't know if this helps.

I spent so much time on MT1, 2, and 3 in middle school through high school along with IDASv3 when I wasn't at auto shop after school... too bad my local arcade closed down and the only arcade left in NYC has a broken IDAS4 machine...

Good times....

Good times indeed. I had quite a few cars through those games, but I think my all time favorite out of all of them was the Mitsubishi GTO (3000GT VR4) from MT2 that was dubbed "The White Knight" by the game, lol. It was white, obviously, with gold wheels, and blisteringly quick. I'll have to find where I stashed my cards after I made this post when I get home tonight and post a pic of it's card. One day I will find one of these things still in operation, and it'll probably somewhere completely random where I won't be expecting it and won't have my cards with me, hahaha.

I specifically wrote about this game in a recent post of mine.

Loved it big time and I still hope to one day buy one of the machines and put it in my game room. This is the holy grail of automotive arcade games IMO.
